Saturday, April 30th, 2011Vinyl Revival Is Not A New App
It may be hard to consider how the world could have existed prior to technology, but once upon a time family used to get together around a stereo and play LPs on a phonograph, back in the Elvis decade.
Do you ever think about when your relatives told you about a time before technology destroyed everyone’s lives?
Back when petrol cost 17 cents a gallon, teenage girl fans were coined “Bobby soxers” and “swinging” advanced to another festive playground.
currently one need not be a DJ to somehow trip onto a treasure trove of 78s, 33s and 45s, and you are well educated of vintage music without being dumbfounded by what may be to others strange space talk from another faraway world.
But, for those who recognize the unmistakable sounds of vinyl and classic “crooner” artists like Dean Martin and his Rat Pack pals, you will want to relax with most of these LPs and hum along. The album pictures are also hot.
Often known as the Chairman Of The Board — Francis Albert Sinatra (December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998) is one of the best American singers from the 1940s whose acting, music and professional career spanned at least five decades and remains simply inimitable.
Don’t bother trying to affect his uniquely exceptional gradated modulations and follow his original arrangements, numerous performers such as Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Bublé keep the memory alive as they try their very best, but he is simply too cool to copy. And it was more than that too.
Las Vegas in the 70s and 80s was an ideal arena to view the spectacle of songs that displayed his lickety-split exciting life: Luck Be A Lady Tonight, My Way, One for My Baby (and One More for the Road), plus too many standards to name.
Turn down the lights, dust off your stereo and pour a couple glasses of your favorite cocktails.
Croon to the moon and remember, nothing beats classic vinyl like Frank Sinatra vinyl, because classic is class.
